My beautiful 5 yr old granddaughter was attacked in the face by a dog, and lost most of her lower lip. I painted this from a photograph I took of her about a month later. It was my therapy—to say that she is still beautiful. The title is a tattoo that her mother has on her wrist as a statement of future hope in a very difficult time in her life. I felt it was a statement of hope for this child too.
